In 1988 Paul left the UK for Los Angeles to study under Polish and Mexican masters at the Roman Ward Jewellery Institute. He won every outstanding achievement award the school offered and word of this outstanding English jeweller soon spread around the Hollywood stylists. Upon graduating, an expert in all aspects of fine jewellery manufacture and design, he was already making pieces for Hollywood stars such as Jack Nicholson, Liv Tyler and Queen Latifa. He also made jewellery for the Highlander TV series.

In 1996 Master Jeweller Paul Mark Hatton returned to his native East End, after 8 years in Los Angeles.He has now established a workshop and showroom in Bethnal Green, east London, 3 minutes from the Museum of Childhood.

Paul is a master craftsman in all aspects of fine jewellery and tableware. He has been invited to exhibit at the Goldsmith’s Hall, London, several times in recent years, including in 2003 in the ‘Love Story’ exhibition, where he showed a hand-crafted and jewel-studded 18pc cutlery set complete with matching silver wine goblets.

Although he has an ongoing display of his latest range of jewellery and silverware, Paul Hatton also accepts a wide range of commissions including engagement rings, wedding bands, silverware and watches to his clients’ requirements, thus creating exclusive unique pieces.

Paul is a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen and also the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. Paul holds a wide range of precious and semi-precious stones, which many clients choose to buy and then commission a piece of jewellery or tableware around them.
